Interviewee Teacher: Ms. Katerina Komnianou

Student-What is your origin?

Teacher-I come from Samos and I live there.

Student-Did you choose to teach on the island of Paros and if so why? Would you prefer to work somewhere else?

Teacher - I have chosen to work in the Cyclades for one year and in Paros to see how life is in the Cyclades, for this year I wanted to be here.

Student-How many years have you practiced the professor?

Teacher-About 10 years!

Student-By what criteria did you choose the professor's profession?

Teacher-I like communication and relationships with children and teenagers; I find it a very lively profession and interesting.

Student - Do you think that choosing a profession for a student should be one’s own choice or at the same time be a result of influence, for example, from his / her parents?

Teacher - Nothing is entirely our own choice, it is good for the student to get opinions and opinions from his / her environment, from his / her teachers, parents, and generally anyone with information about different professions from where they can, and then the final decision is your own.

Oι Κλίβελαντ Καβαλίερς (αγγλικά: Cleveland Cavaliers) γνωστοί και ως Κάβς(αγγλικά: Cavs) αποτελούν μία από τις τριάντα ομάδες του επαγγελματικού αμερικανικού πρωταθλήματος καλαθοσφαίρισης (γνωστό ως ΝΒΑ) . Η έδρα τους από το 1994 μέχρι σήμερα είναι η Quicken Loans Arena η οποία βρίσκεται στην πόλη του Κλίβελαντ, στην πολιτεία του Οχάιο. Αγωνίζονται στο πρωτάθλημα όντας κομμάτι της Ανατολικής περιφέρειας του πρωταθλήματος, και συγκεκριμένα της κεντρικής κατηγορίας (αγγλικά: Central division). Η ίδρυση τους έγινε το 1970, ως ομάδα που δημιουργήθηκε για την επέκταση του πρωταθλήματος και σε άλλες πολιτείες των Η.Π.Α. Η Ιστορία τους στα 46 χρόνια ζωής τους έχει σημαδευτεί από επιτυχείς πορείες αλλά και από μακρόχρονες αποτυχίες. Το 1976 πανηγύρισαν τον πρώτο τους τίτλο κατηγορίας, και έφτασαν μέχρι τους Τελικούς Ανατολικής περιφέρειας όπου ηττήθηκαν από τους Μπόστον Σέλτικς (αγγλικά: Boston Celtics) με 4-2 σε μια σειρά 7 αγώνων.

Ο Πίπεν γεννήθηκε στο Χάμπουργκ του Αρκάνσας τις 25 Σεπτεμβρίου του 1965.

Θεωρούνταν ιδιαίτερα ταλαντούχος στο μπάσκετ και κανείς δεν πίστευε πως θα έκανε καριέρα. Σπούδασε στο Πανεπιστήμιο του κεντρικού Αρκάνσας (University of Central Arkansas), από τα λίγα που του προσέφεραν υποτροφία και χαμηλών προδιαγραφών , όπου ψήλωσε απότομα, βελτιώθηκε σημαντικά ως μπασκετμπολίστας και αποτέλεσε αναπόσπαστο μέλος της ομάδας μπάσκετ του πανεπιστημίου.

Στην τελευταία του χρονιά στο κολεγιακό πρωτάθλημα μάλιστα , το 1987 , είχε 23,6 πόντους και 10 ριμπάουντ ανά παιχνίδι και περίπου 60% στα εντός πεδίου σουτ.

What is your favourite lesson?

These days a lot of children prefer language lessons because they think that these subjects are easier, but I have a different point of view.

Maths is a very interesting lesson, it is like a different world with a new language. Maths is not a difficult lesson but, it is like a chain made of many lessons and if you lose one lesson the chain will break and you will get out of the Math’s world. This world has been made of many arithmetic operations with many symbols.

But the question is: can it become an interesting lesson? Yes, of course it can be, Maths is my favorite lesson and I am very proud that I tried to get in this amazing world.

School is tiring sometimes but it is very important because now we are building our foundation for our life. It helps us to build our character and also improve our quality of life.

STUDENT: Where are you from?

TEACHER: My mother is French, Parisian, and my father is from Cyprus, Lemesos.

STUDENT: Did you choose to teach on this island and if so, why? Would you prefer to work elsewhere?

TEACHER:  I started here out of curiosity. I do not want to be anywhere else.

STUDENT: How long have you been teaching?

TEACHER: Since 2001 and in the state sector since 2008.

The Xbox One is a gaming console developed by Microsoft. Announced in May 2013, is the successor to the Xbox 360 and the third console Xbox family, and was released in North America, Europe (in some countries), Australia and Brazil in November 2013, and in Japan, China and other countries in Europe in September 2014. It competes with Sony's PlayStation 4 and Wii U of Nintedo as constituting the eighth generation of consoles. The first game for the console was released in China, the Shanghai Free-Trade Zone. Microsoft makes the device as an "all in one entertainment system", which competed against other digital media players such as Apple TV and Google TV platform. Before the official release, the Xbox One received mixed reviews, but Microsoft's policy changes in relation to the Xbox 360, reactions were for the system protection of digital rights (DRM system for combating piracy) which the Xbox had is constantly to be connected to the internet, and concerns about the Kinect which at any time "heard" everything.

GM FOOD

Nowadays technology has evolved and scientists have discovered a new way of eating, based on GM food production. There are a number of people who agree with this and some do not.

 In the first place, GM food technology can help fight world hunger. For example, we can consume bigger qualities with less cost and time. In this way the prices are low and all the people can buy them.

 Moreover this type of food is friendly for the environment. Because scientists are not using chemicals for insects, so the earth is not polluted. This food is durable.

Endangered species

Endangered species are every living thing which is threatened with extinction in the near future. The international organization working to protect endangered species is the World Conservation Union or International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, founded in 1948 in Gland Switzerland. The IUCN divides threatened species into three categories. Species are the critically endangered, the simply threatened (endangered) and the exposed (vulnerable).

Christians- 2.2 billion believers

Most western religious follow Christian monotheistic religion based on the Bible. Founder and central figure of the whole teaching is Jesus Christ, as shown on the books of the New Testament.

Key celebration for Christians is Good Friday, when the faithful honor the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. In Jerusalem, in fact, Christians participate in the ceremony along the road that Jesus believed to have walked up to the crucification area.

Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993), known professionally as Ariana Grande (/ˌɑːriˈɑːnə ˈɡrɑːndeɪ/), is an American singer and actress, born in Boca Raton, Florida, the daughter of Joan Grande, the chief executive officer of Hose-McCann Communications, a telephone and alarm system company, and Edward Butera, a graphic design firm owner in Boca Raton. Her name was originally inspired by Princess Oriana from Felix the Cat (1959). Grande is of Italian descent. She has an older half-brother, Frankie Grande, who is an actor, dancer and producer, and she is close with her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Grande. Grande's family moved from New York to Florida when her mother was pregnant with Grande, and her parents separated when she was around 8 or 9 years old.

Είναι αξιόπιστο το διαδίκτυο;

Στην σημερινή εποχή, η χρήση του διαδικτύου είναι απαραίτητη καθώς είναι μια από τις βασικές πηγές πληροφόρησης. Πόσο όμως αξιόπιστη μπορεί να είναι;

Καθημερινά συναντάμε στο διαδίκτυο πληροφορίες που σε πολλές περιπτώσεις δεν είναι πλήρεις, καθώς και απόψεις που παρερμηνεύουν τα ιστορικά γεγονότα και την αλήθεια χωρίς να το αντιλαμβανόμαστε. Οι ασάφειες αυτές μπορεί να επηρεάσουν λανθασμένα την αντίληψή μας για κάποιο θέμα. Δεν σκόπευα να γράψω αυτό το άρθρο, αλλά η έντονη διαφωνία των πηγών μου περί του θέματος του πρώτου άρθρου που θέλησα να παρουσιάσω με οδήγησαν στο να το εγκαταλείψω και να στραφώ σε αυτό.

Ποιες πηγές όμως είναι αξιόπιστες και ποιες μπορεί να παρουσιάζουν μεγάλες αποκλίσεις από τα πραγματικά γεγονότα;
